Website Design Extras

 Overview

Whilst we pack all of our websites with lots of functionality we don‘t believe that you should pay for items that you don‘t want or need. Instead we offer a list of optional extras which you can add to our standard packages to extend your website and enhance your customer‘s experience. If you would like to implement any of these extras then simply choose from the list below and we shall integrate them into the design of your website. If you can‘t find something that you would like incorporated into your website then simply send us your requirement and we‘ll add it to your site.

Extra Webpages - From £60/page. Websites have a nature of growing and growing. If you need extra pages on your website to put across everything you have to say then just add some more.

RSS Feeds - POA. RSS Feeds are the latest phenomenom to hit the internet and are suitable for websites which have regularly changing content such as a news or weather site, online dating, blog site, or online store which constantly updates it‘s products and offers on a weekly basis. Customers can choose and subscribe to RSS feeds so that they are always kept up to date with any recent updates. We can design and integrate a RSS feed on your website and provide a management facility so that you can change the content as often and as many times as you want.

Accessibility Options - POA. There are approximately 8.7 million disabled people in the UK and so it makes good commercial sense to provide assistance so everybody can enjoy your website and your business complies with the Discrimination Act. We can include accessibility options including large text, fastkey navigation and talking webpages so everyone can experience and enjoy your website whatever their status.

Mobile Websites - From £200. Join the technology rush and let your customers access your website from their mobile phone. We will create a fully compliant, mini version of your standard website that can be accessed from a mobile device and if we have designed your main site we will include automatic browser detection. Whatever your customers use to access your site our software will return the correct website for their device.

Static PDF documents - From £40/page. Provide us with a document and we will convert it to PDF and then add it to your website. Ideal for supplying Terms and Conditions, Trade Application Forms and other printable media.

Dynamic PDF documents - POA. Automatically create and use PDF documents in real-time from your website. We will design, code and integrate a PDF document that is derived from current data and link this to your website. Ideal for shipping documents such courier labels and manifests plus customer invoices and statements.

Integration with Postcode Anywhere® - POA. Postcode Anywhere® is a third party application that allows users to find an address from a UK Postcode. We can link this product to your website so that you and your customers can enter an address simply by typing in the postcode and house number. This speeds up order checkout, saves your customers from typing in all address details and mininises errors that could occur from incorrect data entry.

Product Comparison Chart - From £100. Comparison charts allow your customers to select different products or items and then review these simultaneously. When customers are presented with a large initial choice this allows them to choose between only those items that interest them.

Gift Lists - From £200. Let your customers configure a gift list and then send this via email to their friends and family. As items are purchased they are removed from the list so that your customer doesn‘t receive duplicates. Ideal for wedding, birthday and Christmas lists and they can increase your sales because buyers will return to your site from the email they receive.

Subscription List - From £100. Build email marketing lists from visitors to your website so that you can send details of offers and newsletters. We will include a facility on your website so that visitors can opt in and out of receiving marketing emails.

Marketing Emails - POA. We will design a reusable template for your marketing and promotional emails and provide a facility for you to add content. The mailing list is stored in your database and you can send the email to all recipients with a single click direct from your website.

SSL Certificate - POA. If you need to collect personal information and/or payment details from your customers and visitors then it is essential you use SSL encryption to prevent this sensitive data falling into the wrong hands. Where necessary our standard packages use a shared SSL certificate but if you would rather use your own SSL certificate we can manage the application and integration process for you.

Dedicated Hosting - From £25/month. All of our sites come with one year‘s free hosting and we shall manage that site to ensure that everything continues to run smoothly. If you want we can split out your site so that you have your own server area and ISP login. This gives you greater control over your site including FTP file transfers, unlimited email addresses, SMS text messaging and much more.

Optimised Screen Views - POA. Ever needed to keep scolling across a page or had a website tucked up in the corner of the screen will lots of available room unused. This is because the web designer configured the page layout for a specific screen size and you have used a different size. Alternatively they can allow the page to stretch with the screen but then you end up with long, flat paragraphs or narrow, long paragraphs and the images can end up just about anywhere. We can design two or more layouts to ensure that whatever screen size your customers use they will receive a tailored view for their monitor. We will also add some clever software to your website which detects the user‘s screen size and returns the best layout for their monitor.

Website Videos - POA. Short videos make your site dynamic and can show a large amount of information about your company, its products and services. When done properly a website video will portray a professional image and engage your customers but it is important that the video looks good, is relevant and downloads quickly. We can take an existing video, edit it if necessary, optimise it for the internet and integrate it into your website. If you don‘t already have a video we can arrange a professional filming near you or at your premises (UK only).

Podcasts - POA. Turn a video into a Podcast so that your customers can download it and watch it any time that they want. You could provide an introduction to your company (video business card), product catalogue, demonstration, training video and much more. We can take an existing video, edit it and optimise it for an iPod, Zen, PSP, Smartphone, 3g mobile phone or PC and all formats can be quickly downloaded directly from your website.
