Custom Websites. Do You Provide Other Types Of Website? Yes we do. On this website we have listed some of the more common types of site we design but many that we provide are unique and do not necessarily fit into any of those categories. If you have a unique requirement then just send us the details and we shall supply a quote for providing the solution.

Part Projects. What If I Already Have A Website Or Want To Do Some Of The Work Myself? If you would like us to freshen up your existing website then just let us know what work you want us to do. Also if you‘re happy to do some of the work yourself or you already have a designer then just let us know which parts you would like us to do. Send us your requirements and we shall provide a quote for the parts you want us to carry out.

Accessibility Sites. What‘s Involved In Adding Accessibility To My Website? The answer to that question depends on the current status of your website and the level of functionality that you wish to provide. There are three recognised levels of accessibility for a website plus we also provide additional functionality as an option. It is extremely likely that much of your website will need to be recoded to comply with accessibility standards and the extent of the work required will depend largely on how well your site is already designed and coded. It is also possible that some of the graphics on your website will need to be recreated or modified. Even though sometimes the work can be extensive adding accessibility will benefit all users because your website will be well structured, simple to use, easy on the eye and accessible by more devices, meaning more customers. We can evaluate your site and provide a quote for implementing compliance with accessibility standards. Remember to tell us the website address (URL) of your site so that we can have a look at it.

Pay For The Work. When Do I Pay For The Work? This depends of the type and size of the project, our previous trading history, and where the solution will be deployed. We always take stage payments throughout the timescale of the project although for small, quick projects these may only be days apart. We like you to follow the progress of your project and have the opportunity to provide your views at regular stages, and therefore we normally require payment as each key stage is completed. For new customers we require a deposit of 25% prior to starting work which is designed to cover the early stages of design and development.

Printed Brochures And Catalogues. Do You Design Catalogues And Brochures? We carry out graphic design for electronic media such as websites, emails, CDs, etc. but we can also provide excellent design services for printed material through one of our associates. This can be on its own or as part of a complete solution and we can manage the project for you and take responsibility for the result. Send us your requirements and we shall provide a quote for carrying out the work.

Flash Animation. Do You Provide Flash Animations? If the client requires a (Macromedia) Flash Animation then we can design and program this facility. Whilst we can provide Flash Animations we do recommend alternatives such as DHTML, animated graphics or video. This is because some users do not have or want to install a Flash player, and Flash Animations take up large amounts of memory making them slow to load and expensive in terms of bandwidth. We think that there are better alternatives which are accessible to a greater number of users and quicker to run.

Applications. What Sort Of Applications Do You Provide? We program our applications (bespoke software solutions) using a language called VB.Net. This is an extremely popular programming language developed by Microsoft which runs on a wide variety of hardware platforms and operating systems. It is also an extremely powerful language with very little restrictions and so if it can be done with a computer then we can probably do it. To date we have programmed a wide variety of applications and if you have a specific requirement then send us the details and we will provide a quote for carrying out the work.

HTML or XHTML. Should My Website Use HTML or XHTML? We recommend that if practicable your website should be programmed using XHTML. This is the latest generation of programming language with widespread support from major internet browsers, is required by accessibility and mobile websites, and is set to replace HTML in years to come. Unlike HTML, XHTML is a much stricter language and therefore will improve the standard programming from website developers which will increase the usability and longevity of your website. You can still use HTML but this language is slowly being phased out and sooner or later your website wil no longer work, so be wary of budget or template websites which use HTML. Finally don‘t be confused by XML which is suitable for data driven applications rather than creating webpages.

Domain Aftermarket. What Is The Domain Domain Aftermarket? A domain name is the website address that you type in to your browser in order to access a website, e.g. "google.co.uk" and most domain names that have been registered are not used for an active website. This is because the owner of the domain name has never developed the website but more likely is the owner has registered the domain name because they believe that they will later sell it for a profit. The latter case is the where we get the domain aftermarket with millions of domains available to be purchased for the right price. We have extensive experience in the domain aftermarket, searching for domains, valuing domains, negotiating purchases and arranging transfers. We offer a full range of services for searching and buying both available and registered domain names.

Videos. Do You Make Videos? We normally edit and optimise existing videos to them make suitable for use on websites and offline media such as iPods and CDs. If you don‘t already have a video then we can arrange and manage a professional filming near you or at your premises (UK only).
